The Best – And Worst – Gifts For Valentine’s Day

According to the latest research from VoucherCodes.co.uk, the UK is set to spend over £990m celebrating Valentine’s Day this year, with the average person spending £28.60 on a present for their partner.

Flowers, chocolates and jewellery are seemingly the nation’s favourite Valentine’s Day gifts, with, surprisingly, a teddy bear voted the least wanted present.

Almost half of those surveyed (47%) admit they have previously bought a bad gift – with one in 10 confessing that they mixed their partner up with an ex (12%) or had more than one person to buy for (10%).

The rise of PALentine’s Day will see a fifth of millennials (21%) spend Valentine’s Day with friends and a third (34%) exchange gifts with a mate.

VoucherCodes.co.uk surveyed 2,003 people across the UK.
