Scotland’s Trade Fair Autumn will be moving back to its traditional September slot this year, returning to the SEC, Glasgow, from 21-22 Sept 2025. Previously held in August, the September dateline is seen as a more convenient buying period for retailers as the busy Scottish summer tourist season winds down.
“Scotland’s summer tourist season is a hectic period for many retailers,” states show director Mark Saunders. “Once this has eased, they are ready to re-stock and re-source, and where better to head than Scotland’s Trade Fair Autumn in September. The relaxed, friendly vibe at the show offers a good day out for retailers and allows them to hear the stories behind their products as well as enjoying a more meaningful buying experience.“
Adds Mark: “Our sponsorship of The Greats Awards’ Independent Gift Retailer of the Year – Scotland category is a really useful part of our marketing programme. We invite all the nominees to join us on our table and it is a very effective, enjoyable way of sitting down with six retailers to “shoot the breeze” on all things retail. It always results in a handful of new ideas for us to ponder and see what we can do better at Scotland’s Trade Fairs. We are currently busy planning Scotland’s Trade Fair Autumn 21-22 Sept so we will be looking forward to hearing their thoughts and ideas on what we can do to keep this fresh and relevant for them.”

The curated trade event in September will welcome around 100 exhibitors showcasing high-quality Scottish products alongside innovative brands from across the UK and beyond. Nearly a third of the exhibitors are new to the show, bringing fresh ideas and products to Scotland for the first time. They include Harrow & Green Christmas gifts, MuseARTa, Christopher Walster illustrations, The Modern Crafter and Curiously Charmed jewellery.
The first stop for many buyers is the Launch Gallery for the youngest companies which will include All the Colour, Art by Annie, Honey Pot Arts & Crafts, Malmo Home, Owlio UK and Write Your Story.
Timed for the festive buying season, the show also offers a glimpse into early 2026 collections. Buyers can reconnect with returning favourites such as Britton Manufacturing, Calzeat of Scotland, Glen Appin of Scotland, Soctopus, and Och Vegan.
