Saturday (November 2) saw the opening of Tutankhamun: Treasures of the Golden Pharoah at London’s Saatchi Gallery, with an extensive gift shop that spans an entire gallery.
Inside, visitors to the exhibition can find products ranging from Egyptian ‘mummy’ ducks to scarab beetles and death mask shades.
The exhibition, featuring 150 authentic artefacts – 60 of which are travelling outside of Egypt for the first time – commemorates the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb.
Following on from the success of exhibitions in Los Angeles and Paris, London is the third city to stage the exhibition in a ten stop tour. The artefacts will subsequently be returned to the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza where they will remain.
The exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery continues until May 3.
