Two Weeks To The Gift Awards

With just two weeks to go to The Gift Awards on 15 May, Talking Tables’ managing director, Daniel Fagan, explains why the company is sponsoring The Greats Best Non-Specialist Retailer of Gifts category.

Stores provide so much pleasure to people, whether they are self-gifting or treating a loved one,” comments Daniel. “The Gift Awards are therefore an important acknowledgement of their contribution, and we are proud to sponsor them.”

He adds that this season, Talking Tables has launched a new collection of largely reusable tableware called Bon Appetit. “We’re pleased to report a good reaction from the trade, with the collection delivering four out of our five top items in terms of doors. However, the overall top seller and top doors goes to Sammy the fish, our ceramic candle holder, part of the Bon Appetit collection.”

All Gift of the Year and Greats winners, including the recipient of the prestigious Outstanding Achievement award, will be revealed at The Gift Awards on Thursday 15 May at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. The event will, once again, bring together The Giftware Association’s Gift of the Year Awards and The Greats gift retailer awards, organised and owned by Max Publishing, publishers of Progressive Gifts & Home/GiftsandHome.net.

At the glittering event, both gift product excellence and retail prowess will be recognised and rewarded in a true celebration of both sides of the UK gift industry.
