Totally Locally’s ‘Magic Tenner’ High Street Initiative

The latest Totally Locally campaign shows how spending a tenner with an independent business can generate £50, with independent retailers and businesses getting together to show how spending in a town can have a knock-on impact.

The campaign runs from 1-16 March and is designed to give indies the opportunity to engage with their customers, as well as working together with fellow local traders.

With lots of £10 offers, the campaign has been created to show how spending a tenner in a local indie store can mean £50 going back into the local economy, highlights a New Economics Foundation study, which says, “It really is like magic!”

Supported by the British Independent Retailers’ Association (Bira), a range of assets that can be downloaded here for more stores and towns to get involved.

Currently over 60 towns across the UK are taking part in the Magic Tenner initiative run by Totally Locally, which started out as a small idea in the north of England and has grown into a worldwide movement from Yorkshire to New Zealand.
