Milan’s HOMI Will Return In January 2021

The organisers of HOMI, the Lifestyle Trade Fair, have confirmed that the show will go ahead, taking place from January 29-February 1 2021 at Fieramilano, Rho, and running alongside Festivity. Focused on living and home accessories, categories will include gifts, home fragrancing, jewellery, fashion accessories, homewares, table accessories, kitchenware and home textiles.

Taking centre stage will be trends that are currently on the rise – multi-functionality, versatility, transformability, sustainability and digitalisation. There will also be a new ‘extended home’ concept, as the lines between indoor and outdoor become increasingly blurred, with home decor and furnishing accessories set to be a big part of this.

The new exhibition format, which was successfully rolled out in January 2020, will be strengthened, with the show no longer configured according to product types alone. Instead, it will reflect new distribution practices, designed to meet the needs of visitors, in order to deliver a diversified consumer experience ranging from traditional retail and new concept stores to e-commerce and mass distribution.

HOME Retail Inspiration will focus on specialist stores, large-scale retailers and online platforms, split into the two areas: Fragrance Inspiration and Textile Inspiration,

HOME Boutique&Design will be targeted at department stores and research concept stores, as well as interior designers, architects and industry operators looking for original, innovative products. Within this, the Creazioni Italiane area will again be dedicated to Italian craftsmanship and design, while World Designers will showcase work from international designers.

The event will also include workshops, talks and meetings which will offer visitors an overview of market trends, ideas and ways to grow their business, while the#HOMIcommunity project will create a digital hub for exhibitors and visitors.
