Making The Most Of Valentine’s Day

With Christmas done and dusted, retailers’ thoughts are now set on making the most of Valentine’s Day, with the British Independent Retailers Association (Bira) launching a free Valentine’s Day campaign kit for indies – non-members as well as members.

The Show Some Love campaign offers a downloadable bundle of resources and information, with the aim of  encouraging indie retailers across the country to get involved, and capitalise on the first seasonal event in the 2023 calendar by encouraging people to shop local, both in-store and online.

The campaign kit includes an A4 poster to put in shop windows; matching A5 flyers that can be put on counters, in store, or in shopping bags, and a free Valentine’s Day: Ways To Market To Your Customers guide. Social media assets include videos for stories and reels, along with images for posts.

The campaign will be further supported by Bira with the tag #BiraShowSomeLove, with shops are being encouraged to include to boost social media reach and coverage in their area. The Association will also share and mention businesses.
