The next edition of Maison & Objet will be celebrating the design-led show’s 25th anniversary, with the exhibition taking place at the Villepointe Exhibition Centre in Paris from January 17-21, 2020.
The event will take the theme of regeneration, and will be focusing on reinvention and new consumer habits.
Following a change of direction over the past year, and the adoption of a new strategy – the show is now split into two separate hubs, Maison and Objet – this September’s show saw a 0.5% increase in visitors, with numbers climbing to 76,862. Over 60% of brands exhibited from overseas.
At September’s show, a new WORK! zone was introduced showcasing a creative range of work space design solutions. The event also shone a spotlight on the US by introducing six up-and-coming American talents. In addition, architect Laura Gonzalez was named the show’s Designer of the Year.
According to the organisers, Maison&Objet is also enjoying huge popularity online, with the show’s Instagram account boasting over 700,000 followers in addition to 543,000 followers on Facebook, and 150,000 subscribers to its digital newsletter MOM (Maison&Objet and More).
