“We were MEGA excited when we heard the news!” exclaimed Vanessa Curry, managing director of Best Kept Secrets. “Becoming a finalist in the Gift of the Year competition in four different categories is an amazing, fantastic feeling.Waiting for the email to drop yesterday, we were all excited but with a touch of nerves too.”

She continued: “As a small close-knit team, the result affects all of us. Cheers could be heard in our factories as the word spread. We are all going out for pizza, and currently working out who’s going to LONDON!”

At Enesco too, there were smiles of delight all round when the company heard the that, once again, they had reached the finals of Gift of the Year competition – but, for the first time, in three categories. “Recognising that this is an exceptional achievement we are very proud that our  products continue to be recognised by the gift industry in this way,” said trade marketing manager Aylish Ellwood.

Fox Under The Moon’s co-founders Stacey and Jamie McNeil added: “We were both absolutely delighted to discover that the Gift of the Year judges have selected Fox Under The Moon to be listed as a finalist across three categories. Fox Under The Moon has gone from strength to strength in the past 12 months, reaching and supporting almost 250k people on social media, who turn to us for words of comfort and affirmation through their difficult times.  This honour is one we share with all of those who have supported us since Fox’s humble beginnings, and we look forward to reaching more people and expanding our offer across 2024.”

Also delighted to be among the finalists is Evan Lewis, founder of VENT for Change. “It is so rewarding to be shortlisted once again for Gift of the Year, this time for our latest collection of notebooks made using recycled OCEAN waste plastics,” he commented “Recognition from the judging panel is fantastic and matches the reaction our retailers are getting right across the country. It means so much and we can’t wait to hear who wins the category overall. Good luck to all who have entered and got this far.”

The winners and highly commended products will be announced at The Gift Awards, to be held at London’s glittering Royal Lancaster Hotel on Thursday 16 May 2024, once again bringing together both sides of the gift industry – the Gift Of The Year awards and the Greats gift retailer awards – to celebrate the best in product and the best in retail.
