Gift Of The Year Closing Date Extended Until 15 December

The Giftware Association has confirmed that The Gift of the Year closing date has been extended by two weeks. The new date of 15 December will give extra time to companies that are struggling with entries and their products entering the UK, say organisers The Giftware Association.

“We have listened to a lot of companies who have been affected by supply chain issues over the years and it makes sense to extend the competition by a bit longer as we want to give everyone a chance to enter, whether a company is waiting on their actual products, samples, or photography,” says The Giftware Association’s PR and marketing manager Chris Workman.

The news comes hot on the heels of news that the live judging round will take place throughout the duration of Spring Fair, which takes place at the NEC from 5 – 8 February, 2023.

“With the extension, companies can take advantage of marketing opportunities, which can be seen on the Gift of the Year blog,” explains Chris. “Being crowned a winner gives businesses industrywide recognition, with previous entrants seeing a huge boost to their sales and revenue. The competition has helped elevate businesses through exposure at trade shows, The Giftware Association’s winner’s area, the winners’ brochure and a lot of social media exposure.”

The new timelines are as follows:

Competition closes: 15 December, 2022

Online judging: 16 December 2022

Shortlist announced: 3 January 2023
