Progressive Greetings Live: One Day To Go

There’s just 24 hours to go until the great and the good in  the greeting card and gift industries head to dedicated greeting card show Progressive Greetings Live, which opens its doors at London’s Business Design Centre from June 7-8.

“Having been privy to a sneak peek at what some of the PG Live exhibitors have lined up, this year’s show is on course to be a real stonker,” enthuses Warren Lomax, PG Live’s co-show director. “PG Live will be a fabulous celebration of everything’s that great about the greeting card industry – wonderful products, a great bunch of people and a true sense of camaraderie.”

Among the exhibitors will be Widdop & Co., which will be making a major announcement every two hours, with visitors to the company’s stand invited to take part in a lucky dip, with prizes worth thousands of £pounds.

Elsewhere at the exhibition, Abacus Cards will be giving away a pair of Apple Airpods (worth £119) to those placing an order over £500, while a bottle of champagne will be given to retailers placing an order over £250 with Clare Maddicott. And as part of The Art File’s 25th anniversary celebrations, the company will randomly pick order placed at the show, with the lucky retailer receiving £250 credit. In addition, James Ellis will plant four trees in its Trees For Life grove, for every order placed over £200.

Other highlights at the show on both days include the topical Cards For The Queen initiative, a collaboration by the GCA and PG Live, which invites visitors to send Her Majesty a greeting card to make her Platinum Jubilee, with the cards forming a special feature display.

All written greeting cards will then be hand delivered to Buckingham Palace by members of the PG Live and GCA teams.

Plus, there will be two standee life-size cut-outs of the Queen where visitors and exhibitors will be able to take a selfie.
