What Was Retail Really Like For Gift Independents In 2019?

Calling all independent gift and home shops! For the 14th consecutive year, Progressive Gifts & Home/GiftsandHome.net is fanfaring the magazine’s latest annual Retail Barometer survey which provides a unique opportunity to really get behind the reality of gift retailing in 2019.

As with previous years, the survey focuses solely on the views and experiences of independent retailers.

The Retail Barometer is easy to complete online and asks independent retailers to reflect on how business was last year. All participants will remain confidential. Please click here to start the survey.

The survey results will be published in the March/April edition of Progressive Gifts & Home magazine, with highlights featured on www.GiftsandHome.net

“Now in its 14th year, the Retail Barometer is an exclusive platform for gift independents as, all too often, surveys and articles in the media focus on multiple retailers. They forget about the independents which are a vital part of our industry,” said Sue Marks, editor of Progressive Gifts & Home and www.GiftsandHome.net. “Therefore the findings of this survey will provide an insight into the trails, tribulations and triumphs of independent gift shops.”

She continued: “Taking part in this survey helps to create a fascinating bigger picture of the challenges, opportunities and achievements of independent gift retailers.”

The deadline for responses is Friday February 28.

All independents taking part in the survey will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win a ‘thank you’ prize of £25 worth of Marks & Spencer vouchers.
