All Lit Up For Christmas

As the countdown to Christmas begins, Ashford will be staging a visual light show on December 6 and 7 to increase footfall, add fun to the town and take the stress out of the Christmas gift shopping experience.

Illuminites events have been designed to evoke a wintery woodland walk, with the display also including a trail of illuminated trees through the town showcasing Ashford’s history, famous landmarks, and illustrious residents.

The following weekend (December 14 and 15) there will be a continuation of light shows, with an illuminated Carnival of Christmas Baubles decorated by children from local Ashford primary schools,

Visitors will also be able to decorate and personalise baubles which will be hung from a tree in the Winter Forest.

The events have been organised by Ashford Borough Council and Loveashford, in partnership with Emergency Exit Arts, We Make Stuff Happen, LM Productions, and are supported by local Ashford businesses
