Licensees Hop To It For Peter Rabbit Movie Sequel

Penguin Ventures and Sony Pictures Consumer Products have confirmed the lead UK licensing partners for Peter Rabbit 2. The new movie from Sony Pictures, which goes on release in the UK in March 2020, will see the return of Peter, Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-Tail and Benjamin.

Among the raft of licensees is Rainbow Designs which has been confirmed as Peter Rabbit 2’s plush licensing partner. The company will be releasing a series of plush including additional characters that feature in the new movie. In addition, Whitehouse Leisure will be producing a range of leisure plush while DNC will be producing a range of homewares.

“There’s a huge sense of excitement surrounding Peter Rabbit 2 following the success of the first movie and the reaction from retailers and licensees has been incredibly positive,” said Lindsay Pearl, softlines category manager at Penguin Ventures. “We’re thrilled to have signed so many great licensees at this stage and we’re looking forward to catching up with our international agents and licensing partners at Brand Licensing Europe (BLE) and meeting new licensees for Peter Rabbit 2.”

The first Peter Rabbit movie grossed over £268 million at the global box office in 2018.
