Customer Experience Leads The Way At John Lewis & Partners

It may have been a challenging year for John Lewis & Partners, but the department store certainly won the praise of its customers, confirmed the latest Which? ‘best’ and ‘worst’ High Street Shops survey.

Which? members were asked to report on their in store shopping experiences over the past six months, with John Lewis & Partners scoring an impressive 86% in terms of satisfaction. The store – the only non-specialist in the top six, well known for its excellent customer service and vast range of products – jumped from 10th place last year to take the number three spot on the 10 ‘best’ High Street Shops list.

In first place was Richer Sounds with 89%. Pipping John Lewis by just 1% was Rohan which scored 87% and ranked second.

House of Fraser fared less well, appearing in second place on the 10 ‘worst’ High Street Shops list with a customer score of 59%. However, bottom of the worst rated shops was WHSmith scoring just 50%.
