Senior Licensing Appointment at Half Moon Bay

Having added close to 20 new licenses across the company’s three divisions for 2019, Half Moon Bay – which is looking to further expand and enhance its relationships with retailers – has appointed Iain Wakefield as head of licensing and business development.

Iain says he is looking forwards to joining the team at such an exciting time and to helping to further grow the business. He brings with him over 25 years publishing and brand licensing experience, most recently managing the licensing division at Haynes Publishing for the past 14 years, where he worked closely with Half Moon Bay on a range of giftware and Haynes Explains gift books. Prior to working at Haynes, Iain has held positions at HarperCollins Publishers and Universal Studios.

“I’ve known Iain for over 10 years and am delighted he’s joining the team here,” comments Half Moon Bay’s managing director Peter Thompson. “Iain’s international licensing knowledge and his publishing experience will really help Half Moon Bay as we continue to grow both our gift presence and our Ice House Books publishing imprint.”
