Sprinkling A Bit Of Happiness

In a rollercoaster week for politics and sport, Widdop and Co’s first range of The Happy News licensed giftware, created by Emily Coxhead, is on its way to retailers with a mission to spread happy news.

“The Happy News captures the current zeitgeist, connecting with audiences of all ages,” says Widdop director Stephen Illingworth. “The mix of colourful, fresh illustrations and heartfelt text is a dynamic combination. We’re thrilled to be part of the next exciting chapter of Emily’s journey.”

Gift items include necklaces, mugs, iron on patches and travel accessories. Taking inspiration from the ‘90s, quirky touches and illustrations feature Emily’s bright, positive outlook to sprinkle a bit of happiness.

The Happy News is the brainchild of Emily Coxhead, an illustrator and ‘happy thing maker’ who in 2015 launched The Happy News, a quarterly newspaper devoted to happy and uplifting news.
