With just over two weeks to go to The Gift Awards on 16 May, Trina Scott-Priestly, head of retail partnerships at Lifestyle (part of Motivates, a certified B Corps company), tells GiftsandHome.net why the company is excited to be involved with The Gift Awards, where Lifestyle is sponsoring the Gift of the Year’s Children’s, Educational and Pre-School category.
“For us, it is the opportunity to connect and inform more people about the great opportunity that the gift card industry presents,” explains Lifestyle’s Trina Scott-Priestly, head of retail partnerships. “I find it incredible that there are two great industries, giftware and gift cards, yet there seems to be little or no overlap at the moment. I hope Lifestyle can start to bridge that gap and educate companies about the opportunity that a gift card presents. One simple product – so many options. We are the gift card specialists and this is what we sell, this is our focus, so let us work with you on making more of your gift card.”
Continues Trina: “Additionally, as we are building a new product, a Parent and Baby multi-choice gift card for a well known high street retailer, we wanted to connect with brands in this sector, find out more about their products and, hopefully, get them on board to make their gift cards available to our customers as part of this fabulous new product. We have loved looking at the great products in the GOTY’s Children’s, Educational and Pre-School category and are excited to see who wins!”
Highlights Trina: “We are also delighted to be working on a Gift of the Year gift card, bringing together all the shortlisted companies, past and present, under a gift card created for these wonderful businesses. This is a unique new initiative that The Giftware Association and Lifestyle have worked on, and it is so exciting to see this come to life. It’s a gift card that can be purchased and redeemed at any of these wonderful brands.”

At the glittering event, both gift product excellence and retail prowess will be recognised and rewarded in a true celebration of both sides of the UK gift industry.
