The Happy News Scoops A Henries 2019 Award

It was big smiles all round recently, when The Happy News – which boasts a growing licensed giftware collection from Widdop and Co – won the Best Licensed Range at the recent Henries Awards, owned and organised by Max Publishing/Progressive Greetings magazine.

The brainchild of founder Emily Coxhead, The Happy News brand is continuing to go from strength to strength, with licensees including stationery company Blueprint Collections, bath and beauty specialist H&A and confectionery company Creme d’Or.

Over 700 greeting card industry publishers, retailers and suppliers attended The Henries 2019  – which was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London earlier this month – to witness the industry’s best greeting card ranges receive the top card publishing accolades.

The Henries  ‘100 Years of greeting cards’ celebration was themed to tie in with the centenary of the Greeting Card Association (GCA), headline sponsor of the event.

Top: Emily Coxhead, founder of the Happy News was all smiles as she collected the trophy with Sam Wilson, senior designer for Pigment that was presented to them by Skeet Print’s director, John Skeet, sponsor of this award category.
