“The Greats And The Gift Of The Year Awards Are A Perfect Fit,” Says Gisela Graham’s Piers Croke

Gisela Graham is among an impressive line up of companies sponsoring the inaugural The Gift Awards, which take place at the Royal Lancaster hotel on 12 May. Piers Croke, Gisela Graham’s marketing director, tells GiftsandHome.net why sponsoring the Greats Best In Store/Window Display category at this year’s Awards is so important to the company.

“The Greats Awards and The Giftware Association’s Gift Of The Year Awards are a perfect fit: the best products and the best people who sell them,” comments Gisela Graham’s marketing director Piers Croke.

“Think back just 25 years ago to what we might (well, some of us!) think of as the good old days of the gift trade. Packed high streets!  Department stores! No Internet! Whether or not it’s all changed for the better, the climate has changed and the gift trade has to change with it.”

Continues Piers: “Retailers and we, the wholesalers, are in this together, and at Gisela Graham we recognise  our mutual need. Our contribution, through our sponsorship of The Greats Best In Store/Window Display category, is to  raise the standard of window and instore displays, to bring the consumers into gift shops and persuading them to buy. And we believe in practicing what we preach, with a wreath we made greeting visitors to our London showroom. It highlights one of the ranges that we’ve launched for 2022.

“We’re a  pretty informal trade but for once we’re going posh – and we should. The Gift Awards are going to be a night to remember!” enthuses Piers.

The winners of the inaugural The Gift Awards will be announced at London’s Royal Lancaster hotel on 12 May. At the lavish awards event, both gift product excellence and retail prowess will be recognised and rewarded.
