Home & Gift Virtual Is Open For Business

With Home & Gift an unmissable event on the gift industry’s calendar, the good news is that although the physical show is unable to take place this week in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, Home & Gift Virtual is open for business as of this morning (July 20), with the show running until Wednesday July 22. Register at www.homeandgift.co.uk.

Visitors will be to enjoy previews of all the latest products for Autumn/Winter, and will also be able to watch an impressive series of Shoptalk seminars and trend talks. Plus, visitors are invited to book 1:1 meetings with participating brands.

Kicking off the live product presentations at 10am will be Belly Button Designs, where the company will be launching a major new collection, Happy Days. Other live (and pre-recorded) launches include jewellery, clothing and fashion accessories from Suzie Blue; festive bath and body products from The Somerset Toiletry Company; AW 2020homeware, fashion, stationery and greeting cards from Caroline Gardner; Swole Panda’s newest collection of bamboo socks, boxers and scarves, and the latest licensed giftware and in house designs from Wild & Wolf.

Virtual exhibitors participating in the virtual show include Wrendale Designs, with founder and creative director Hannah Dale telling GiftsandHome.net: “We’re hugely excited to be using the Home and Gift Virtual platform to launch our brand new plush collection. This has been a long time in development, and the challenge has been to create characters that truly captured the essence of the artwork.  Each individual character is beautifully depicted in high quality fabrics with extra detailing that really brings each one to life.  They are all supplied in a canvas bag featuring the original artwork, ready to go to their new home.”

Adds Hannah:  “In addition, our new winter scarf collection features eight best selling designs in super soft materials, with beautiful contrasting colours on the reverse, perfect for the cooler season.  They are also supplied with an illustrated bag, making them perfect for gifting.”

At The Somerset Toiletry Company, the focus will be on Christmas. “We’re showcasing our new festive collection for 2020 which is available from September,” confirmed marketing manager Lisa Moon, “as well as our new fragrances within our best selling collection Naturally European (plum violet) and aromas artesanales de Antigua (peony plum), which we launched earlier this year.

“We’re really excited about the virtual event,” emphasised Lisa. “It’s not something we’ve done before, but it’s a great opportunity to try something new. Trade shows are the highlight of our trading calendar, especially catching up with existing customers and meeting new ones.”
