Getting Online: How To Launch A Transactional Website Webinar

With gift retailers not yet online being strongly urged to create a transactional website as soon as possible, enabling them to trade during lockdown and beyond, a ‘must see’ webinar this week is Getting Online, the second in a ‘Looking To The Other Side’ series of webinars organised by The Giftware Association, in collaboration with the FSB and Widdop and Co.

The webinars, fronted by experts in their field, follow on from a successful webinar at the end of April, hosted by Widdop’s Stephen Illingworth, head of product development and national account sales.

“A store without an online presence is only half a store,” Stephen told attendees. “It’s a scary, competitive area, but getting started is key and it’s easier than ever with companies such as Shopify and Magento who do most of the integration, meaning that there is no need to build a website from scratch. No-one wants to compete with Amazon, and while price is important, innovation, services and authenticity are key.”

The webinar will last for around an hour and will be followed by a Q&A session with Sarah Ward, ceo of The Giftware Association, and Michael Weedon, chairman of the FSB and ceo of EXP2.
