Excitement Builds For The Online Greats Awards 2020

With just five days to go to the online Greats Awards 2020 on Wednesday September 30, finalists have been sharing their excitement with GiftsandHome.net. Many are looking forward to dressing up, with plenty of champagne on hand, ready to enjoy the big night which will be streamed on GiftsandHome.net from 7.30-8.15pm.

“The date is firmly in the diary,” confirmed Janet Hartree, owner of Ewe and Me and You Too in Grantown-on-Spey (a finalist in the Independent Gift Retailer of the Year – Scotland category).  “Not quite the planned ‘Great’ event we thought it was going to be, but nothing can take away from the excitement of hearing that we are finalists,” said Janet. “We plan to have bubbles to hand and sparkles on. There are three generations involved in the shop so it will be a real treat for us all.”

It’s a similar story at Amore in Woodbridge (a finalist in the Independent Retailer of the Year – East Anglia category). “We’re really looking forward to the event,” said Pete Whiteman, co-owner of Amore in Woodbridge. “We will have the team in-store with a bottle or three to watch how the evening unfolds. Posh frocks and suits will be worn!”

At Raven Lifestyle in Tavistock, (a finalist in the Best Newcomer – South & Wales category), owner Bradley Trevelyan says: “We will be streaming from home with snacks and wine to hand. Online or not, I’m sure it will be a great evening and we’re really honoured to be involved.”

Meanwhile, looking forward to a very special event of her own is  Blue Diamond’s gift buyer Angie Goosen, who explained: “I’m pregnant with twins, and about to pop, so no glad rags or wine for me! But I’ll be celebrating with a good cup of decaf tea and comfy PJ’s!”
