The first ever Creative Retail Awards recently saw professionals from the retail industry gather together to celebrate the innovation and excellence shown in retail design and display.
A panel of industry leaders and experts, including senior staff from Fitch, Hammerson, M. Worldwide, rpa;group and The Fashion Retail Academy, were faced with the difficult decision of judging a winner within each discipline. These included display systems, innovative technology, lighting, POP, store design, surfaces and visual merchandising.
Judith Kelly, head of retail design and delivery at Hammerson tweeted, “Fantastic night @BungaBungaLDN for #CRA2018 congratulations to the winners! An honour to judge with difficult decisions to be made! Thanks to all involved in the organisation and opportunity.” Positive feedback also came from rpa:group as Sasha Cuff, marketing executive said, “So much fun! I wish all awards ceremonies were as energetic and entertaining – brilliant job, thank you!” Winner Stylo reported: “We had an amazing time at the Creative Retail Awards last night where we picked up two awards. ‘Most innovative POP concept’ for our Data Roaming project with @VodafoneUK and ‘Best pop-up store’ for our work with @BirchboxUK and @Your_Studio.”
The Awards, organised by Shop and Display Equipment Association and Retail Focus, were held at Bunga Bunga in London’s Covent Garden.
