Calling All Gift Independents

Independent retailers, to include gift shops, are being encouraged to get involved in this year’s Just A Card Day which takes place on Monday June 17.

The aim is to raise awareness of small independents and to encourage people to shop locally.

A highlight of this year’s campaign is a virtual Just A Card Instagram ‘meet up’ on the day itself, where people will be asked to say what they do and where they’re based, in order to meet other like-minded people, build Instagram engagement and gain new followers.

Participants are also being encouraged to post images on their Instagram page wearing a Just A Card pin, as well to share news about the campaign on their Facebook and other social media channels.

“There are no rules – just have fun and raise awareness of the small businesses you love,” says Just A Card’s founder Sarah Hamilton, an artist and designer, who launched the campaign over two years ago.
