Brand Licensing Europe officially opened its doors yesterday (20 September), with Paddington Bear among the visitors hopping onto the new Elizabeth line to get to London’s ExCeL.
The show runs until Thursday 22 September, playing host to over 220 brands, with thousands of IPs ready to licence, daily keynotes and a spotlight on France, as well as a sustainability day.
A fashion theme is running throughout the event, with catwalk shows underlining the theme, showcasing how brands have come to life through fashion collaborations.
The BLE & POC Sustainability Café is recycling materials from last year’s Sustainability Activation and showcasing sustainable consumer products and fashion lines from 12 brands including Primark, The Eden Project, WasteBuster, Smiley, Wow! Stuff & RSPB, Hasbro & Asda, The Smurfs & Pure Top Table, and Discovery.
In addition, Products of Change, with United Nations and Junk Kouture, is presenting an educational and inspiring catwalk show with presentations and performances centred around the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Junk Couture will host an exclusive catwalk presenting recycled fashion designed and modelled by 13-18 year old students.
Today the show is open until 6pm, and from 9am to 4pm tomorrow, Thursday 22 September.
